“Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, ‘The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst” (Luke 17:20-21).
By now, I assume you have heard the news about the Asbury Revival that recently happened in Kentucky. What you may not be aware of, though, is that at the same time that was going on, something amazing was happening here in Indonesia. Last month, our team had the opportunity to host Indonesia’s first-ever national Campus Ministry Conference. Over 200 pastors, youth leaders, and campus missionaries (students) from all across Indonesia gathered together on the island of Bali to worship together, learn from each other, and to cast vision to reach university students across the country. We believe that if we can reach the university campuses with the message of Jesus, we can change the future of the nation! These few days were full of joy and anticipation of what God has for the future of Indonesia! To get a small sample of what this event was like, watch the video below.
Last week was the beginning of Ramadan, a Muslim holy month focused on prayer, fasting and reflection. During this time, all Muslims around the world fast from all food and drink from sunrise to sunset. At the same time, our team is also currently in a season of 4 weeks of prayer and fasting, as well, leading up to Easter. During this time, we are praying and believing for salvations, breakthroughs, visions, and dreams for our Muslim cousins. Please join us in prayer that during this time of seeking Allah, Jesus would reveal himself to them in amazing ways. For more information on what Ramadan is and why it matters for followers of Jesus, I encourage you to watch this very informative video.
I am now nearly 3/4 of the way through my term in Indonesia, and at the end of July, I will be moving back to the United States. The big question that everyone is asking me right now is “What’s next?”. Will I be returning to Indonesia? After much prayer about this, I believe God is leading me to return for another term here, but there are still many details that still need to be worked out for that to happen. In addition, there are questions of what my life will look like when I get back to America. Where will I live? What am I going to do for a job while in the States? Will you please pray for me as I seek God’s guidance for these big questions?
Thank you so much for your faithful support and your prayers!
“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:2).
