2024 Summer UPDATE
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13).
Dear friends and ministry partners,
I want to begin by acknowledging that it has been way too long since I sent my last ministry update. I apologize for the lack of communication and appreciate your patience and understanding.
The Lord Will Provide
When I arrived back in the United States last summer, one of the big questions that was on my mind at the time was uncertainty about how I would provide for myself financially while simultaneously focusing on fundraising. Some days, support-raising can feel like a full-time job in itself, but unlike a full-time job, I do not personally receive any of the funds that I raise until I am back overseas. Back at the beginning of this year, I heard a new song by Passion called The Lord Will Provide. Its lyrics declare, “I know my God’s not empty-handed! He gives us blessings upon blessings! I’m still believing that I know the Lord will provide!” I have witnessed the truth of these lyrics first-hand over the past few months. God has been so faithful in this season, providing for me through unexpected gifts and freelance jobs. As Paul wrote in Philippians, "I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.” I have had multiple times when I have been running low on personal funds, but every single time, right when I needed it most, the Lord has provided!
Fundraising Update
My support-raising progress has slowed down a bit over the past couple months due to other priorities competing for my attention, but I am excited to announce that I am now nearly two-thirds of the way to my goal! I am still needing just over $1,000 in monthly support. Just as God has provided for me personally, I trust that he will provide the necessary funding for my budget in his perfect timing.
All Nations Conference
Two weeks ago, I had the exciting opportunity to serve with the Chi Alpha All Nations Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma. All Nations is a conference for international students and international campus-ministry workers with a focus on helping students better understand their God-given purpose and their destiny in the kingdom of God. I had the privilege of serving as the official event videographer for the conference and below, you can watch a short video recap that I put together of the conference.
Upcoming Summer Trip to Indonesia
At the end of this month, I will be taking a short trip to Indonesia for ten days. My sister and her husband, who work with Chi Alpha in Arizona, will be leading a summer mission team there, and I want to ensure that I am present during her time in Indonesia. This trip will allow us to spend time together and will also allow me to reconnect with our team and some of the students we have been ministering to. I ask for your prayers for safe travels and powerful divine moments.
